26in, Mid season, 9in, NOCT, DOR, Fr, CRISPATA- UF, 2 to 3 way
branching, ca 18 - 20 buds per scape produced over threeto four week
period. Perhaps one of
Marc´s finest introductions.Chosen by world renown plantsmen Roger
Grounds and Diana Grenfell to befeatured in their new garden at Upper
Merton House, this CRISPATA is oneof Marc´s earliest blooming
Unusual Forms, but is particularly specialin that it completely covers the
clumps with flowers, the foliage disappearingunder a cloud of very
distinctive exotic form flowers! With the 2 wide-sweeping branched scapes carrythe huge flowers (ca
18 - 19 cm) pale yellow, flat-open flowers to perfection.The form:
strap-segmented near Spider Variant with regularly pinched tepaltips,
creating a flat-open star-like blossom. Stable crispation pattern.After
cool evenings, a salmon-pink blush halo appears in the throat of
theflower. Hard DOR, going dormant in Mid to Late September, hardy to at
least-14F (-25C). Excellent increase once established.
Scapes ca 70 cm, NOCT.
(RIGMAROLE X Burn's KINDLYLIGHT Clone). Stunning in a clump! Named after
the late PAUL WEBER, husbandof the noted British Unusual Form and Spider
collector Cathy Weber. Sellsout quickly. A superb addition to the summer
border, excellent with Miscanthussins. 'Hinjo' and Bromus 'Skinner's Gold'
in keeping with the soft yellowpalette.
